Caring Nurses of Nanaimo is a group of nurses from Nanaimo Regional General Hospital (although open to anyone) who have decided to organize in order to raise funds for certain charities.

These charities must exhibit the following characteristics:
  • An extremely high proportion of funds donated must end up on programs rather than in « administration » or « fund raising ».
  • Must have a history of effective, non-partisan work.
  • Should be providing medical relief of some kind.
  • Be actively involved in the current affected area of interest to the Caring Nurses group.

The current area of concern for the Caring Nurses of Nanaimo is the Japanese tsunami disaster, which has resulted in serious problems with delivering medical care to a significant portion of the affected population.

We accept cash or cheques for donations. Cheques should be made out to « Caring Nurses Nanaimo ». Donations will be passed on to the charities in a lump sum.
