We have now donated ¥100,000 (approximately $1200) to MSF Japan. Or we will have once the paperwork goes through. Once we manage to collect outstanding money owed for t-shirts we will donate the remainder to Japanese Nursing Association.

We won’t be able to provide charity receipts for donations. The Japanese Nursing Association and the Japan office of Médecins Sans Frontières (explained here), cannot provide donation receipts for people who are not Japanese taxpayers. Also, due to the paperwork and expense involved Caring Nurses Nanaimo is not registered as a charity that can give receipts on its own. We apologize if this causes any inconvenience.
